So where has Miss Volatile been? Moving, working and creating. Not enough time to keep up with dmusic, which makes me sad, because I miss the folks on here. I'm working on a YA series called The Nova Tracks. The first book is called Chasing Butterflies and I am creating a soundtrack for it. My writer's website will be coming soon. Anyway, I have completed 2 songs for it so far, Slip Away and Protector. Feel free to check them out. Black Lab also put my remix of Lonely Boy on their latest CD release Technologie. You can find that on I-tunes or their site at

It's my first professional release, yay!
I've also started up my own web design business. If any of you music types want a website done for fairly cheap (we're still working on a portfolio), please check out my site and message me. It's volatilecreations.com.
Hope everyone is well

Um, yeah this is my first day off in awhile. For people dropping by, I totally appreciate it and I'm not ignoring you. I just don't get many moments to check out music and respond like I want to. I'm going to be leaving one of my jobs in December to spend more time on my music. I've come to realize that music is what I love and I shouldn't be giving it up for anything. I'll figure out some other way to eat damnit, even if its rice and beans for the next year. Hopefully, I can get back the passion I had a couple of years ago...and the time. I miss collaborating and just talking to other musicians in general. I've turned down a lot of good projects because I've had no time to do them. Thats all going to change this year damnit. Enough is enough. In other news, my website is up and running!

Check it out if you'd like. And again thank you for continuing to comment on my songs and say hi even though I've been MIA.

I did a remix for the one girl industrial band "Chiasm". I used her vocals and then added live bass, drums and guitar. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. I'm finishing up my last song and then my EP will be coming out...finally! My website is almost finished as well, I'll announce it when it launches.

Here is the thing. I'm trying to take on way too much at once. I'm finishing up my CD, getting my digital photography together, developing my video editing and sound design skills, working a full time job and trying to put together a professional website. This is too much!
So I'll be blunt. I'm poor and can't really afford to pay anyone, but I'm willing to work out a trade. I'm looking for a creative web designer who wants to start a porfolio. I will advertise you on my site of course. I'm also willing to provide you artistic support on a project you may have. I'm willing to edit a commercial for you for free, do some music for another website you are designing or provide you with nifty graphics for other sites you are designing.
If that is not of interest, I am looking to sell my 1.8 dual processor G5 shortly. I will give you a VERY good deal on it (its not even a year old). It has the original 160gb harddrive it came with, a second 300 gb harddrive, 2.5 gb ram. However, for this trade I want someone experienced and damn good at what they do. I want my website to look quirky and professional at the same time. I've got my own graphics and ideas for what I want the colors to be. I just need someone who is good at layout and making that a reality.
If this is of interest to you, please email me at violetstrings@mac.com
